Akram Khan, who is considered one of the most important choreographers in the world in the field of modern dance, has been pioneering the performing arts with the Akram Khan Company, which he founded, for over 24 years. The group stands out as one of the most respected dance groups in the world with its innovative approach. The group, whose programs range from artist-to-artist collaborations and group works, with projects focused on Indian Kathak and modern, has a respected and international reputation. The artist, who works with dancers and dance groups worldwide and creates unique choreographies through joint collaborations, carries out many tours in the discipline of modern dance. Akram Khan is an important choreographer who has also won many international dance awards.

The group gained great fame with its performance at the London Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in 2012.
