Orochi is a Hague-based group named after the eight-headed dragon in Japanese legend. The group of 8 musicians, including 6 players, a mezzo-soprano and a conductor, symbolizes the unification of 8 artistic qualities into a single whole.

Ensemble Orochi is an orchestra that specializes in contemporary music and 20th century music, believing that modern music is not a separate genre but emerges from well-known repertoire pieces, looking at modern music from a different perspective and in this context, contemporary composers write for them.

Ensemble Orochi brings a new breath to the music scene, offering concerts that combine music with other artistic disciplines such as visuals, projections, theatre and literature, attracting new audiences.
